- Prime Minister Kovachevski says – “This factory has been in business here for
42 years and has a long tradition and experience in the production of all
types of small caliber ammunition“
Samokov, R. N. Macedonia, 02.12.2023 – Prime Minister has visited ATS AMMO factory for the first time and witnessed first hand the quality and the manufacturing process, including continuous checks and tests, of small caliber ammunition. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister who went round the new production site where a total of 200 million pieces of small caliber ammunition will be manufactured in 2024.
“This factory has been in business here for 42 years and has a long tradition and experience in the production of all types of small caliber ammunition and has managed to make its way into the world market due to the quality it provides. ATS AMMO is part of ATS Group, which is present in 56 countries throughout the world”, said Prime Minister Kovachevski, adding that the factory works to NATO standards.
“Purpose-built factory ATS AMMO is one of the most modern factories in Makedonski Brod, which makes a significant contribution to the local economy. This demonstrates the economic benefits for all, particularly for domestic companies, of our country’s fully-fledged membership into NATO”, stated Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economic Affairs Bitikji.
“The company will increase its production next year and will reach 200 million pieces of ammunition, which will make it one of the largest, if not the largest, company of this scale in South East Europe”, stated Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska.
Mr. Demirovski, ATS Group owner and CEO, thanked the high government representatives for the honour and greeted the numerous journalist teams.
